Student Youth Organization

University Youth Organization established in May 1998 operates at Nakhchivan State University.

The main goal of the organization is to represent and defend the interests of students in the direction of the implementation of the state youth policy, and to contribute to their extracurricular development by increasing their social activity

The organization has defined the following directions as the main value principles of itself, as well as of each student club united under its umbrella.

●       Loyalty: The organization prioritizes the protection of students' rights and interests.

●       Transparency: The organization implements the management process transparently and openly to the society, thereby transparently presenting to the society that the rights and interests of students are protected by the organization.

●       Professionalism: The organization continues its activities based on constantly improved knowledge and skills.

●       Cooperation: The organization cooperates with local and international partners, local and foreign related institutions to operate more effectively and efficiently. 

●       Innovation: The organization is constantly working towards creating change and innovation.

●       Creativity: The organization is always based on a creative approach in its activities.

●       Result orientation: The organization constantly evaluates its activities and, based on this, make decisions that direct resources to the most efficient use.

The main activities of the organization are as follows:

·         Conducting work towards the solution of students' social problems;

·         Implementation of educational activities among young people;

·         Effective organization of their free time;

·         Organizing the participation of talented and creative young people in competitions, Olympiads, exhibitions, festivals held inside and outside the Republic;

·         Organization of competitions, seminars, festivals, forums, meetings, exhibitions, round tables, scientific conferences, training courses, mass propaganda companies, discussion clubs, discussions, symposia, meetings with prominent personalities, etc. with the participation of students.

There are currently 9 clubs operating under the Student Youth Organization of Nakhchivan State University:

·         Book club

·         Debate club

·         Sports club

·         Chess club

·         Model UN club

·         Origami club

·         Conversation club

·         Club of Wikipedians

Nakhchivan State University Student Youth Organization won the title of "The Best Student Youth Organization of the Autonomous Republic" in 2018, 2019 and 2021.

In 2022 and 2023, the Student Youth Organization of Nakhchivan State University was awarded the nomination "Student Youth Organization of the Year" by the Union of Azerbaijan Student Youth Organizations (ATGTI).

In 2024, the Student Youth Organization of Nakhchivan State University was awarded the "White Cypress" award, the highest award of that institution, by the Union of Azerbaijan Student Youth Organizations (ATGTI) and was chosen as the "Student Youth Organization of the Year".

As of December 2020, the chairman of the Student Youth Organization of Nakhchivan State University is Gasimov Aziz Kamal oglu.
